Many years ago when the Spanish Treasure Galleons were sailing the Caribbean
loaded with golden doubloons bound for the Emperors in Spain, they were
met by bands of unruly swabs called pirates. After bloody fights the
pirates would relieve them of their treasure. Thus the connection
was born between the pirates and the Spanish coins. The connection
is still alive and well to this day! Not only have we named or vessel
after this coin but we also have a doubloon on the front of our shirt.
The "Screaming Skull" jolly roger on the back of our shirt
has a story all it's own as well. All the true pirates of yesteryear
had their own version of a pirate flag. Some of these flags were
quite frightening and one can only imagine the fear that struck sailors
when they spotted a ship on the horizon flying a jolly roger flag.
In keeping with pirate traditions we designed our own jolly roger.
Well, we didn't do all the designing... We did have some help. We had
a graphic design artist, a naval historian and a little fellow named Jose
Cuervo help us out. The end result is easy to see. Our pirate flag
is loaded with attitude and personality. It is indeed our very own
"Screaming Skull and Cross Bones"

As we explained to you on Doubloon, this shirt is the official party T-Shirt
of the crew of Doubloon. Mostly because if we have a long, late night with
a few too many cocktails, it can be a challenge to find the boat the next
morning. Hence the need for our party shirt. Quite often we have to
depend on the great picture of the boat on the back of the shirt to find
Doubloon once we forget where we left it the day before or if we can't remember
what it looks like. Are you beginning to appreciate the amount of stress
we are under by living here? We also included our logo of the
"Screaming Skull and Crossbones" right up front. It is hard to

When we set out to do something aboard Doubloon we try to do
it right. Here you go. Our six panel, brushed cotton caps are the
best. Doubloon's Screaming Skull logo is embroidered on the front and
Doubloon St. Thomas, USVI is on the back. Complete with the offsetting
black sandwiched visor makes this cap one of the best.
